Why did you decide to start-up a business in Ambridge?
We fell in love with Ambridge, it’s beautiful. The potential for this town is so clear and we love the downtown. We lived in Charleston, SC for many years and had to drive to get anywhere. In Ambridge, we can walk everywhere and love that business owners can live upstairs and work downstairs. Our goal in opening this business was to be a part of the revitalization process, we are not in it for the money.
How easy was it to start your business?
All of our endeavors have been self-funded. The Borough and Chamber of Commerce were so helpful in answering any of the questions that we had. Thanks to their help, we want to be able to do the same for new businesses coming in and serve as the go between for any questions that they might have.
How welcoming was the community?
We have met such awesome people here. Everyone has been very welcoming and we are so excited for the potential that our incubator has to offer to the community and that it could potentially serve as the catalyst for sustainable business in the area. People are beginning to see that change is needed here and that it is coming.
What makes Ambridge such a valuable community to be located in?
The people. The history. The diverse ethnicities. We truly fell in love with Ambridge and can see how much potential there is to grow. It’s like a blank canvas that we get to paint what we want. It is exciting to know that we are the only business incubator in Beaver County, and because of that, we can pull in clients and new businesses from all over.
How have you been impacted by the community of Ambridge after opening this business?
We absolutely have more positive feelings toward Ambridge after moving here. Now, we are proud to promote Ambridge because we love this town and we want to be a good neighbor. In turn, our hope is that people will begin to see the value of our business in this community as well.
